Guided by artists, professionals
and
high school students/mentors
recruited from within the community,
Roots & Rhythm Playhouse provides
a nurturing, supportive environment
that encourages children to explore
their talents and life experiences
through a step-by-step process of
creating and performing original
material. Programs culminate in
performances within the community. |
Roots & Rhythm Playhouse
also
hosts “All-Access”, an academic
program providing individualized
tutoring to our neediest students.
In addition, we collaborate with
other community organizations
to facilitate workshops and
provide academic enrichment
opportunities.

Building on this strong
foundation,
our goal is to expand our
programs to schools throughout
San Francisco—and the entire
Bay Area—bringing the
benefits of performing arts
to all children. |
